TechNet Think Tank Identifying CriticalTechnologies

The World Bank and the Science and Technology Policy Institute at the RANDCorporation will be hosting an online TechNet Think Tank electronic discussion onidentifying critical technologies for developing countries. This electronicdiscussion will be based on a wide range of experience in the S&T policyarena and will be moderated by Caroline Wagner at RAND's Science and TechnologyPolicy Institute. Some of her most recent work can be downloaded via RAND'sWebsite, from the S&T Policy Institute's Publications Page. We especiallyencourage participants to have a look at New Forces at Work as afoundation for the discussion. Experts from around the world are now beinginvited to join the Think Tank panel, which will be carried out as a listserv(electronic mail) discussion group running from February 15 to March 15, 1999.

During the four weeks in which the discussion is active, the Think Tank willoffer a chance to interested individuals to contribute to this discussion.
