Abstract: Some of our biggest technological achievements today aresmall--extraordinarily small. Dr. Whitesides, a National Medal of Sciencerecipient, will review the exciting scientific and technological developments innanotechnology, paying particular attention to chemistry-related advances. Theseminar will also offer an opportunity to discuss policy matters related tonanotechnology as the administration prepares to launch a major initiative innanotechnology.
