Direct Support to OSTP and the National Science and Technology Council

On April 27, 1999, the President released the National Science and Technology Council (NSTC) report, Renewing the Federal Government-University Research Partnership for the 21st Century. This report called for a 12-month national conversation on the principles that should govern the Federal government's research partnership with universities.

To disseminate the report, the RAND Corporation's S&TPI developed a web site, hosted at the White House, containing the report in various forms as well as background material. You can view statements of the proposed principles in the Report section.

We also have the first link from OSTP to RAND S&TPI. You can see this in the Background section, under Process.
