About Arts and Culture
Culture and creativity offer interest and learning that can transform people's lives. Many policy makers are seeking ways to increase participation in the arts and culture. Funders, whether governments and public agencies, private trusts, foundations or individual benefactors, want their investment in arts and culture to have greater impact and social benefit. Quality can seem hard to assess, and taste is inevitably subjective.
RAND Europe is actively pursuing opportunities with clients in the museums, libraries and archives (MLA) sector. We can contribute to evaluating the outcomes of investment - both public and private - in the MLA sector, and can provide evidence to inform decisions on strategy and direction. By doing so, we can inform such pressing challenges as evaluating museum education programmes, assessing regional development strategies and maximising public benefit from MLA services. We are looking at opportunities to work with the sector to improve open access to information.
