Current Job Opportunities

Associate Analyst or Analyst (level dependent on relevant skills, qualifications, and experience) – Defence & Security

RAND Europe's Defence and Security programme works with public and private sector decision-makers to help inform key decisions on the difficult challenges generated by today's security environment. We have an extensive portfolio of work in the UK, Europe, and globally to provide independent, objective research analysis, and advice. Our expertise ranges across the Defence and Security domain and includes strategic defence policy, procurement/acquisition, information security and critical infrastructure protection, international security and development, and domestic security and counter-terrorism.

Your primary role will be to work as part of a team undertaking research and analysis on behalf of our clients.

The ideal candidate
You will have an outstanding academic record (good first degree, Masters and, preferably, a PhD or equivalent experience), proven methodological and writing skills, and, potentially, experience working in the European Defence/Security domain. We particularly welcome applications from people with a quantitative background such as engineering, economics, or mathematics. You must possess the ability to work independently on tasks at various levels whilst contributing effectively to a larger research team. Fluency in English is essential. Proficiency in additional languages is desirable.

The post is based in our Cambridge office but may involve travel to Brussels and other locations nationally and internationally. Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK.

Salary range   Associate Analyst   £20,000 - £25,000
  Analyst   £26,000 - £33,000
