Bookstore Overview
We disseminate the results of our work as broadly as possible to benefit the public good. The majority of publicly available research documents published since 1998 are available for purchase through our bookstore along with a free download option. You can also search of over 10,000 RAND reports published since 1946.
Catalogs and Subject Area Bibliographies are also available for download. These tools are commonly used by libraries and other institutions to review RAND's extensive inventory and facilitate the order process.
Permission is required from RAND to reproduce, or reuse in another form, any of our research reports.

Publications Series
RAND utilizes a variety of products to communicate and disseminate the results of its research. Over the years, the range of publications has varied, from books and monographs to briefings and reports. Learn more about the RAND publications series.
Subject Area Bibliographies
Available for a diverse collection of subjects, Subject Area Bibliographies are used to easily identify RAND research documents grouped by topic in one place, complete with abstracts. They are updated regularly, and contain most publicly available research documents released by RAND.
Information for Educators
RAND books have been used in over 100 college courses spanning a range of disciplines. Visit the Information for Educators page to view selected RAND titles covering a variety of subject matter, read reviews, or request desk copies.
Information for Libraries
Visit the Information for Libraries page for RAND titles recently selected in the annual University Press Books Selected for Public and Secondary School Libraries guide. These publications have been examined, reviewed, and recommended for use in public and high school libraries by the American University Press Books Publication Selection Committee, which is composed of members from the American Association of School Libraries and the Public Library Association.

Online orders: If you have a Visa, MasterCard, or American Express credit card, you can take advantage of our secure online ordering. If you are not sure which title you would like to order, you can search for publications. You can also link to our order form from any title featured on our web site.
All documents ordered through RAND must be prepaid by check, money order, or credit card (Visa, MasterCard, or American Express). To expedite your order, please include your mailing address and daytime telephone number, the title, and the number of copies needed. It would also be helpful if you could tell us how you learned about the publication. If you are not sure about a document title or price, call RAND Customer Service and a representative will assist you.
All orders shipped within the United States are shipped fourth class book rate unless other arrangements are made with a RAND customer service representative. California residents will be charged 8.25%, Mississippi residents will be charged 7%, Pennsylvania residents will be charged 7%, and Virginia residents will be charged 5% sales tax.
