Letter from Event Cochairs

As the RAND Corporation celebrates its 60th anniversary, we invite you to join a diverse group of influential thinkers and RAND experts in setting Politics Aside this fall for a weekend of learning, engagement, and exploration of objective, nonpartisan solutions to the many policy challenges of our day.

RAND is a nonprofit organization whose mission is straightforward: to help improve policy and decisionmaking through research and analysis. For six decades, RAND has helped policymakers stay ahead of the curve on critical issues affecting health care, education, poverty, crime, business, civil justice, the environment, and national security, among a range of other public concerns. Through rigorous research and the application of sophisticated analytical tools honed over its 60-year history, RAND creates knowledge, presents options, and proposes solutions that are both effective and enduring.

Set to follow the presidential election in November, in a climate that is often rife with punditry and predictions, Politics Aside will provide a forum for informed exchange on the challenges and opportunities that our leaders at home and abroad should address in the months and years to come.
