Paul Sorensen received a BA from Dartmouth College (computer science/geography), an MA in urban planning from UCLA (transportation/energy/environmental policy), and a PhD in geography from UCSB (spatial analysis/logistics). In addition, he has spent close to 10 years in the software industry, designing and developing database and decision support system applications. Through the course of his academic and professional experience, Paul has performed analysis and/or developed software for the following industries and groups: the Transportation Research Board, Caltrans, the California hydrogen highway project, community redevelopment agencies, Internet media content providers, large financial institutions, naval flight training squadrons, EMS and fire protection agencies, radiologists and emergency medical physicians, and pharmaceutical firms.
