HIV Patient-Assessed Report of Status and Experience (HIV-PARSE)
The HIV Patient-Assessed Report of Status and Experience (HIV-PARSE) survey instrument is a self-administered patient survey developed by RAND and the University of California at San Diego. It is designed to assess patient outcomes in clinical trials of therapies for treating HIV-infected patients.
The survey instrument is a baseline questionnaire that contains sections measuring symptoms, disability, utilization, and health status and functioning. The responses are assessed using a version of the Medical Outcomes Study 36-Item Short Form Health Survey (SF-36) measure that has been modified for HIV patients.
