The Healthy Passage Study
A longitudinal study of more than 5,000 ten-year-olds in three communities (Los Angeles, Birmingham, and Houston) representing diverse racial/ethnic backgrounds, to examine individual, peer, family, school, and neighborhood influences on substance use, violence, injuries, physical activity, nutrition, sexual activity, and mental and physical health biennially over a ten-year period.
