A community–based participatory research project aimed at expanding the services available for the treatment of persons of color affected by mental illness.

The first large-scale effectiveness study of CALM (Coordinated Anxiety Learning and Management), an intervention to deliver evidence-based treatment to patients with any of four anxiety disorders prevalent in primary care: panic disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, social anxiety disorder, and PTSD, including patients with comorbid depression and/or moderate substance abuse.

An examination of the mental health of gifted children, including assessing whether gifted individuals with specific learning disabilities are at increased risk for mental disorders, particularly anxiety, depression, and suicide ideation/attempts.

A prospective examination of the relationship between residential status of impoverished women (e.g., stability of residential status, amount of homelessness) and four serious health threats: drug use, HIV risk behaviors, victimization by violence, and mental health problems.
