Center Goals

  1. Develop the infrastructure and sustaining strategies for an Interdisciplinary Center for Geriatric Research that incorporates five disciplines across the UCSF campus (Nursing, Medicine, Pharmacy, Dentistry, Social and Behavioral Sciences);
  2. Build community, shared purpose, and commitment to transdisciplinary research among key faculty within each participating discipline;
  3. Conduct two pilot studies that will lead to interdisciplinary/transdisciplinary research proposals; and
  4. Develop strategies for on-going mentorship, training and research experience in transdisciplinary research for senior and junior faculty, pre- and post- doctoral students, and fellows.
