• Convened quarterly steering committee meetings to engage those involved with the Center
• Conducted an ethnographic study of the first year of the Center's work that explores concept of interdisciplinarity and the facilitators/ barriers encountered in its pursuit
• Formed 3 multidisciplinary work groups and funded 2 pilot projects in each group
• Sponsored Scholar's Seminar Series highlighting interdisciplinary activities of Center members and co-sponsoring lectures by visiting scholars
