Center Focus

To initiate new collaborations across relevant disciplines in order to engage in research that enhances older adult health.

Center Goals

  1. Design and conduct 3 pilot studies that include 5 New York University Schools for specific dimensions of geriatric health and well-being;
  2. Strengthen current researchers' agendas by partnering with other disciplines for well-rounded approaches to improved geriatric healthcare;
  3. Stimulate and support the development, selection, funding and implementation of innovative geriatric research pursuits for mid-career level professionals;
  4. Maintain a Center with strong organizational capacity that facilitates scientific interdisciplinary research and fosters extramural fund procurement for I-GRC longevity; and
  5. Expand and implement training and development activities that focus on creating opportunities that attract bright upcoming professionals, across disciplines, to specialize in collaborative geriatric healthcare research.
