Food prices linked to weight gain in children — Sep. 2005

Lower prices of vegetables and fruits are associated with lower gains in body mass index (BMI) among elementary school children in the U.S. Effects are larger for children in poverty, children already at risk for overweight, and Asian and Hispanic children.
