Additional Research Tools
Health Surveys and Tools
Instruments and scoring instructions for many major health services surveys are available from the RAND Health web site, as well as practical tools for improving quality of care.
A Million Random Digits with 100,000 Normal Deviates
This 1955 book was a product of RAND's computing power (and patience). The tables of random numbers in the book have become a standard reference in engineering and econometrics textbooks and have been widely used in gaming and simulations that employ Monte Carlo trials. Still the largest known source of random digits and normal deviates, the work is routinely used by statisticians, physicists, polltakers, market analysts, lottery administrators, and quality control engineers.
Trauma Tool-Kit for Schools Helps Students with Recovery
This tool helps schools support the long-term recovery of students who have been traumatized by exposure to violence, natural disasters, and terrorism. Summaries of each selected program are included, with details about implementation, personnel training and materials, and contact information.
