Biography
Dr. Berrebi's terrorism research has been extensively cited and published in top Economics and Political Science academic journals, such as, American Political Science Review, Defence and Peace Economics, Economica, Peace Economics, Peace Science and Public Policy, Journal of Conflict Resolution, and Journal of Economic Perspectives among others. Dr. Berrebi is also a core member of the European Commission's Network for Economic Analysis of Terrorism and Anti-Terror Policies (NEAT) working on a new agenda for European security economics.
Dr. Berrebi's work at RAND addresses major concerns on topical issues from a labor market study for the Qatari government, a project for the US treasury modeling the appropriate level of asset forfeiture following the employment of illegal aliens, a study for the SEC analyzing the differences between broker-dealers and investment-advisers, a study for the defense department about trends and radicalization in the Pakistani military, to a risk analysis of energy alternative futures for the Israeli government. Dr. Berrebi was also in charge of the economic analysis in a multi-disciplinary team of researchers advising NIH about a National Clinical Research Associates network.
Dr. Berrebi's research has been featured extensively in media outlets such as ABC News, Atlantic Monthly, Christian Science Monitor, CNN fortune, Daily Times, Daily Tribune, Financial Times, Jerusalem Post, New York Times, Newsweek, Observer, and Washington Post, among others.
